Code of Business Conduct

Code of Business Conduct

The Keller Group has a broad geographic footprint and operates across a range of diverse business cultures.   We do, however, have a common set of ethical values which is predominant throughout our business practices.    These values promote honesty, fairness and integrity in our relations with our employees, customers, suppliers, competitors and the community and underpin the following guiding principles:

Laws, regulations and local cultures

  • We comply with all relevant laws and regulations in the countries in which we operate.
  • We do not indulge in anti-competitive practices, either formally or informally.
  • We try to not offend, or be insensitive to, the traditions and cultures of countries in which we operate.

Employees

  • We are committed to providing healthy and safe working conditions in all our operations.
  • We provide fair employment opportunity to all irrespective of gender, creed, ethnic origin, nationality, sexual orientation, age or disability.
  • We treat everyone with dignity and respect and do not tolerate any form of harassment, discrimination or bullying.
  • We are committed to advancement based on merit and the importance of providing training and development opportunities to enable employees to increase their contribution to the Group.
  • We expect our employees to avoid conflicts of interest between their private activities and their business positions and not to take unfair advantage of privileged information.

Customers, suppliers and competitors

  • We do not offer, pay or accept bribes.
  • We do not offer, authorise or make payments to government officials directly or indirectly to obtain or retain business.
  • We only accept gifts or favours if they are customary in type and nominal in value, they are unlikely to be misconstrued and can be reciprocated at the same level. We offer gifts or entertainment on the same basis. We never give or accept gifts of money.
  • Our employees have no direct or indirect personal financial interest in any business with which the Group has dealings, other than an investment of less than 5% of the shares in a company, unless that interest is fully disclosed and approved in writing by a Keller Group plc director.
  • We compete vigorously, but honestly. We will not engage in damaging competitors' reputations either directly or by implication, misrepresentation or innuendo.

Environment

  • We recognise our responsibilities to the communities in which we operate and will co-operate with local community organisations, where appropriate.
  • We are concerned for the environment and seek to minimize the environmental impact of our operations, while complying with all relevant laws.
